indu Launches Teen Athletes Sponsorship Programme

Indu, the skincare and makeup brand renowned for its teen-focused beauty products, has launched its Teen Athlete Sponsorship Programme, aiming to empower young sports stars and promote active teen lifestyles. The initiative will cover essential costs such as competition entry fees, travel expenses, and necessary equipment, allowing these athletes to focus on their ambitions without financial barriers.

The programme, inspired by the sporting passion of co-founder Aaron Chatterley, supports teens from diverse backgrounds who are excelling in a wide range of sports. Among the first athletes to benefit from this sponsorship are surfing champions Lukas Skinner and Lauren Sandland, football star Omotara Junaid, athletics sensation Shiloh Omotosho, skateboarder Lola Walpole, and rising stars like Seija Boletta and Lila Skinner. These young athletes are already making waves in their respective sports and serve as inspirations for other teens.

Lukas Skinner, a World Gromsearch Surfing Champion and Team GB Olympic Progression Squad member, leads the charge as one of the programme’s standout athletes. Omotara Junaid, the Captain of Arsenal Women's U21 team and a key figure in England’s U17 European Women’s Championship semi-final run, represents the programme’s commitment to supporting athletes at the top of their game. Shiloh Omotosho, a three-time British National 300m Champion, has her sights set on representing Team GB in the 2028 Olympics.

Joining them are Lauren Sandland, a two-time British Women’s and U18 National Surfing Champion, and Lola Walpole, a young skateboarder making strides in vertical skateboarding. Seija Boletta, a Channel Island Champion surfer, and Lila Skinner, a national champion in surfing, round out the impressive roster of sponsored athletes.

This initiative is more relevant than ever, as a Women in Sport report revealed that 43% of teenage girls are disengaging from sports post-primary school, often due to the fear of being judged. Indu is committed to tackling this issue by providing these athletes with the resources they need to excel and by championing inclusivity in sports.

Through this sponsorship programme, Indu is not just backing individual talent but also promoting physical activity and confidence among teens, aiming to reverse the trend of disengagement and inspire a new generation to remain active and pursue their passions. By supporting athletes from various sports disciplines, Indu continues to redefine beauty, celebrating every aspect of teen life—from skincare and makeup to sport and self-expression.
