Urban Retreat by Acti-Labs is a family run business that launched in 2006, creating bespoke luxury professional products for exclusive Spas across the world. Acti-Labs has now acquired the product trademark Urban Retreat and has launched its own range called Urban Retreat by Acti-Labs for use by SPA Hotels, Professional Aestheticians, MUA’s, Dermatologists, and Doctors in the Professional Beauty and Wellness sector. This will be complemented by an eCommerce site and network of Beauty Consultants selling direct to consumers.
The new range of 20 Skin Care products, 10 Body Care products, 14 LIFE Wellness products, 18 Makeup products and 7 Haircare products are made with high levels of ethically sourced botanicals and marine concentrates at their laboratory in France. All products are dermatologically tested, and all ingredients are carefully selected not only for their efficacy and safety but also for their ethical and sustainable provenance. Multiple products across the range have been independently clinical trialled to prove their extremely high levels of efficacy and all the trials were carried out in compliance with the ethical principles for medical research (Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects), adopted by the 18th WMA General Assembly.

They test all of their rinseable products for both biodegradability and toxicology to the eco-system, the range’s outer packaging is compostable, the product packaging is glass and aluminium and eco-refills are available in the range.
