Achieving the Glow with Sarah Chapman

Stepping into the clinic you immediately feel cared for and at ease, a calming aroma fills the waiting room and each team member greeted me with a smile. Once in the room, relaxing music played as the treatment began… We started with a thorough double cleanse, where the esthetician skillfully used gentle cleansing products to remove all traces of makeup, dirt, and impurities from my skin. This initial step set the foundation for the rest of the treatment, ensuring that my skin was prepped and ready to receive all the goodness that would follow. It was during the cleansing that the esthetician and I discussed my skincare concerns and goals. Having just come back from a holiday where I had broken out, I was looking to even my skin tone and smooth the texture of my skin. They were happy to oblige, making my treatment truly bespoke.

We moved to the next step: the comforting warmth of steam, opening up my pores and promoting blood circulation. Not only did it feel incredibly relaxing, but it also helped soften my skin, making it more receptive to the upcoming exfoliation.

As the esthetician applied the lactic acid peeling mask, I experienced a mild tingling sensation that assured me it was working its magic. Lactic acid, being an alpha hydroxy acid, gently exfoliates the surface of the skin, sloughing away dead cells and promoting cell turnover. I knew this would help improve my skin's texture, leaving it smoother and more radiant than before.

The hydrating facial with hyaluronic acid followed suit, and I could feel my skin becoming drenched and nourished. Hyaluronic acid is a hydration powerhouse that attracts and retains moisture, which was exactly what my skin needed. It plumped up my skin, diminishing fine lines and leaving it feeling velvety soft.

The extraction part might not have been the most comfortable, but the esthetician's deft hands made it more than bearable. This step cleared out any remaining impurities and congestion from my pores, helping to prevent future breakouts.

Once the extraction was completed, it was time for the ultimate relaxation—the face and shoulder massage. The gentle strokes and rhythmic movements eased away any lingering tension, leaving me in a state of blissful tranquility. I felt like I was floating on a cloud, relaxing while my skin soaked in all the goodness from the previous steps.

To conclude this indulgent journey, the esthetician incorporated LED light therapy, which offered a variety of skin benefits. Red light stimulated collagen production, further boosting the anti-aging effects, while blue light helped to combat acne-causing bacteria, perfect for my occasional breakouts.

Getting up from my little hour of paradise, I couldn't help but admire the remarkable transformation my skin had undergone. Looking in the mirror my skin looked moisturised, glowly and nourished. The look reflected the feeling that every aspect of this bespoke treatment had been carefully tailored to address my skin's unique needs, and I left feeling very pleased with the offerings of The  Sarah Chapman Skinesis Clinic.
