Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain Hotel Unveils its Underground Urban Spa

Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain, the newest boutique hotel in the quintessential Parisian neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés has unveiled its state-of-the-art urban spa, a cavern of tranquillity located beneath the city’s bustling Left Bank. The vaulted cellar housing Spa des Prés once housed a legendary cabaret where poet and composer Léo Ferré began his career, and guests can sense the unique history as they descend the stone steps which are now classified as a historic monument.  The perfectly formed space features a deep indoor pool with massage jets, hammam, meditation and yoga room and a fitness studio equipped with the latest Technogym equipment.

In partnership with Parisian wellness brand, CODAGE, the spa offers a menu of personalised and effective treatments to relax, stimulate and detoxify the body. CODAGE celebrates the unique needs of each individual’s skin type, combining custom made products with purposeful gestures in therapies such as the Travel Detox, which focuses on the legs, back and neck, and the Shopping Break treatment, designed to eliminate fatigue after a day spent exploring the city’s unrivalled boutique shopping scene.

The spa is located beneath Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain, which features 47 individually appointed rooms, a cosy library and intimate bar across three historic Parisian buildings in the sought-after neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The hotel is also home to Les Parisiens, a modern bistro concept by French celebrity chef, Thibault Sombardier, combining haute cuisines with a less inhibited style of cooking that emphasises local and season produce.
