Omorovicza Unveils New London Institute
In the heart of London's Mayfair, Omorovicza has unveiled the Omorovicza Institute. This latest venture which opened in November 2023, extends the brand's unique approach to skincare and wellness to the UK capital.
The Institute, spanning 148 square meters, is an embodiment of tranquility and luxury. The spa's design, a collaborative effort of Tina Vaia and Ed Milton from EJM Studio, incorporates a courtyard and a retail boutique, alongside two subterranean treatment rooms. This layout is not just architectural; it is an invitation to a unique experience, reminiscent of the thermal baths of Budapest, a city renowned for its rich spa culture.
Omorovicza's Institute aims to merge time-honored wellness traditions with the latest in skincare science. The spa menu features six Skin Therapy Sessions, each integrating unique products and traditional Hungarian massage techniques. Central to Omorovicza's philosophy is their patented Healing Concentrate, a formulation harnessing the therapeutic properties of Budapest's mineral-rich thermal waters. Clients leave not only with a rejuvenated sense of self but also with a tailored Skin Therapy Prescription, guiding their skincare regimen at home.
The interior design of the Institute is a thoughtful homage to its Hungarian roots. Inspired by the Rácz Fürdő, a historic thermal bath belonging to the Omorovicza family, the space uses materials like terracotta, handmade tiles from Spain, and Carrara marble, creating an ambiance that transcends mere aesthetics. This design philosophy extends to the products themselves, rich in mineral ingredients and reflecting the geological and historical heritage of the brand.
Founded in 2006 by Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich d’Omorovicza, the brand has established a strong presence in the beauty industry, recently appointing Harrison Gregory as the general manager for the UK, EMEA, and APAC regions. The treatment offerings at the Institute are diverse, including the 80-minute Moor Mud Skin Therapy session, which utilizes postbiotic Moor Mud from Hungary's Lake Héviz, and the HydraFacial Skin Therapy session, developed in partnership with HydraFacial, combining Omorovicza’s Healing Concentrate with advanced skin renewal techniques.
