RMS Beauty has just dropped its first-ever setting mist, and true to form, it’s not what you’d expect. The new Radiance Lock Setting Mist is a microfine, alcohol-free spray designed to lock in your makeup while treating your skin with the same level of care you'd expect from a high-performing serum.

Created by makeup artist and RMS founder Rose-Marie Swift, the idea behind Radiance Lock was simple: setting sprays shouldn't feel like hair lacquer for your face. “In my entire career as a makeup artist, I never used setting sprays. Most feel like you’re  putting hairspray on your skin, as they’re loaded with alcohol and drying agents that lock in makeup to the point of making any further makeup application unworkable. Our new, cleaner version is totally different and can be used for special occasions or every day, doing the job of a setting spray without losing skin’s  radiance. We did this by creating a microfine mist that evenly distributes the 97% plant-based formula onto  skin like a weightless veil. It’s clean technology that sets and prolongs makeup while ensuring your natural  radiance shines through, and you can still touch up your makeup anytime without leaving marks. The result is a 97% naturally derived formula that blends seamlessly into skin like a weightless veil. It uses Pullulan, a plant-based film former that holds makeup in place with a smooth, flexible finish. Add in Tightenyl (a biotech-powered firming active), GlowPlex (a radiance-boosting blend of niacinamide and peptides), plus hyaluronic acid, vegetable squalane, and eggplant fruit extract — and you’ve got a product that sets, hydrates, and protects in one luminous spritz.

Clinical results show the mist instantly hydrates for up to 24 hours and replenishes the skin barrier, making it ideal for daily wear or touch-ups without that dreaded patchy, cakey effect. It’s also hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, and suitable for sensitive skin.
